CAD/PLM Applications Engineer
 

The VPLM (Virtual Product Lifecycle Management) Competence Center of Bobst Group is in charge to define and deploy worldwide a complete VPLM solution based on CATIA V5 and Enovia Smarteam. Bobst SA is looking to reinforce its project team through a CAD/PLM Applications Engineer.

This expert will participate in the definition and the implementation of the solution and will ensure the maintenance of the platform and support user request.

Tasks and responsibilities:

Reporting to the Head of VPLM Group Project, you will participate in the VPLM Group Project Team and be a member of the IT VPLM competence center. One of your key tasks will be to analyze requirements from our product line and contribute actively to the design of the VPLM implementation. You also will have to participate in the creation of methodology, metrics and documentations for the user training.
You will be involved in a very large scope of industrial process from design, simulation, technical document, industrialization and manufacturing, which need to integrate the VPLM solution with many corporate standards like SAP.

Your profile:

You have an Education in mechanical engineering (BS/HES) with demonstrated capabilities in Computer Science. You have at least 3 to 5 years working experience with CATIA and Enovia Smarteam. Your deep knowledge of the design and manufacturing processes of the mechanical industry are ideally completed with an experience in implementing VPLM solutions according to user’s requirements. A thorough understanding of development technology such as databases and programming languages would be an advantage. You master English and French. German is an asset.

Conscientious, open minded and team oriented you are an enthusiastic personality with assured appearance and team spirit. You have an analytical sense and have a customer oriented attitude. You like to communicate with users to understand the ultimate goals of their tasks. You like to work independently in a group of specialists and can lead small projects. You are willing to travel.
