Research & Development

The Group's research and development aims are concerned with satisfying changing market requirements by bringing in new technologies.
Activities are directed towards:
  • Reducing unproductive downtimes for job changeovers
  • Improving the man-machine interfaces
  • Bringing about the productivity improvements sought by the customer
Intensive efforts are made to expand the use of electronics, software and advanced communications. Last but not least, all development work takes protection of the environment into account.

The research and development departments benefit from collaborations with specialized high school institutes located on all continents. A significant portion of the profits, quite larger as compared with other industrial enterprises, is invested, year after year, in research and development.

Organization is built upon the exchange of capabilities, pluridisciplinary groups have been formed for each product. This exchange of know-how allows the use of the same basic technologies for several types of machines. This will to share can also be found in the production and control sectors. A partnership of this type is of high value, as it allows each product line to market reliable and profitable production tools for their users.
