K5000 Metallizer |
High Performance Vacuum Metallizer
|
|
|
The GENERAL K5000 metallizer is a highly innovative machine, designed to provide wide width solutions and the market driven requirements of today's plastic film metallizing industry.
As a global provider of converting process solutions, GENERAL Vacuum Equipment Ltd. (GVE) provides customers with more than just a machine. By entering into a close working relationship with each and every customer, GVE can develop unique solutions to meet their specific requirements.
The positive outcome from such close collaboration leads to exciting new product developments, improved process solutions and profitability for our customers.
The K5000 metallizer has been specifically designed to run in conjunction with the ATLAS CW800 slitter rewinder. Such an integrated solution enables the plastic film producer not only to metallize but also slit finished reels of metallized film in narrower widths.
Following extensive customer liaison, it became apparent that there was a significant need for a new metallizer which could satisfy demand for considerably higher productivity, whilst still maintaining the output quality and consistency of current machines.
The K5000 metallizer is a highly innovative machine, designed to meet the requirements of today's plastic film metallizing industry. Larger diameter reels together with high coating speeds improve previous output on old machines by up to 50%. The K5000 film metallizer is believed to be the highest output machine, width for width, currently available.
The K5000 also provides many benefits to its operators. This new machine has extensive sound proofing, resulting in much reduced noise levels during operation. In addition, the Windows NT touch screen computer console provides on-line help to minimize downtime in the event of machine failure. This alone makes it far easier to operate in comparison to former machines.
